SEEKS LOCAL PERFORMERS FOR
‘A CHORUS LINE'
AUDITIONS SET FOR SEPTEMBER 25, 2010
The award-winning North Shore
Music Theatre (NSMT) is auditioning performers for its upcoming production of A
CHORUS LINE directed by Mark Martino. Auditions will be held on Saturday
September 25, 2010 at North Shore Music Theatre.
A CHORUS LINE
rehearsals begin October 18 and performances are November 2 – 21. A specific
rehearsal and performance schedule will be provided at the auditions.
NSMT is seeking male and female dancers
who sing well. All ethnicities are encouraged to audition. NSMT will see female
dancers at 10 AM and Male dancers at 1PM. All those auditioning should arrive
early to warm up and register. Auditions will start at specified times. Callbacks
will be at 4pm. All must be available to attend the callbacks if asked.
Those auditioning should be prepared to dance. Also, please prepare an
appropriate standard Broadway song to sing after all have danced. Please bring
sheet music, an accompanist will be provided. Please bring a picture and
resume, stapled together.

will be held in NSMT’s Theatre Arts and Education Building behind the theatre at

Since 1955,
NSMT has become one of the most attended theatres in New England, with
approximately 250,000 patrons annually. With a national and regional reputation
for artistic achievement, NSMT has received numerous industry awards
including Elliot Norton Awards, IRNE Awards, the Rosetta Le Noire Award from
Actors' Equity, and the Moss Hart Award. NSMT produced the World Premiere of
Memphis in 2003, the show went on to win four 2010 Tony Awards including Best
Musical. Under the new ownership of Bill Hanney in 2010, NSMT continues to
annually produce a musical subscription series and an annual production of A
Christmas Carol along with celebrity concerts and children's programming.
