In addition to 10 years of touring, David has been welcomed by audiences at Casa Manana, the Granbury Opera House, the Goodspeed Opera House, American Musical Theatre of San Jose, Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma, Stages St. Louis, Portland Center Stage, the Dallas Theater Center and, of course, NSMT. Recent honors include an IRNE Award for his King Pellinore in Camelot and teaching NSMT's first Master Class for their Stage 4 Program. Erik Gratton (Narrator) With NSMT: The Taming of the Shrew. Elsewhere: Most recently, Erik appeared in Redevelopment, part of the Václav Havel Festival in New York’s Ohio Theatre. Other 2006 shows include Two Gentleman of Verona with Tax Deductible Theatre in Riverside Park, and Moonlight and Magnolias at the Dorset Theatre Festival. Erik has worked regionally with The Human Race Theatre Company, The Meadow Brook Theatre, Heart of America Shakespeare Festival, Maine Shakespeare Festival, and Stage Works, among others. He has been seen with New York Classical Theatre and Personal Space Theatrics, where he also serves as resident fight director. Teri Dale Hansen (Ghost of Christmas Past/Mrs. Cratchit) With NSMT: Debut. Elsewhere: Teri began her career in London’s West End starring as “Magnolia” in Harold Prince’s Tony Award winning Show Boat. She starred as “Rose” in the internationally acclaimed film of Kurt Weill’s Street Scene and made her Broadway debut in The Boys from Syracuse (2002). She has toured nationally as Marvin Hamlish’s guest soloist appearing with numerous orchestras such as the National Symphony and the Boston Pops. Last summer, Teri toured as Marian Paroo in the National Tour of The Music Man and the previous year had starred as Guenevere (opposite Robert Goulet) in that National Tour of Camelot. Mark Aldrich (Fred) With NSMT: A Christmas Carol ‘05. Elsewhere: Mark Aldrich is delighted to return to NSMT for his second year in A Christmas Carol. New York credits include South Pacific in Concert at Carnegie Hall (also seen on PBS’ Great Performances), Juba (Vineyard Theatre), Johnny Johnson (York), Finian’s Rainbow (Irish Rep), and The Audience (Transport Group). Most recently he was seen as the Dancin’ Kid in Johnny Guitar at Seven Angels Theatre and regional credits include Ford’s Theatre, Berkshire Theatre Festival, Kennedy Center, Casa Manana, Dallas Summer Musicals and many others. Joseph Dellger (Mr. Fezziwig/Gentleman) With NSMT: Camelot, Ragtime. Elsewhere: Joseph is delighted to return to NSMT after playing Arthur in Camelot last year and Father in Ragtime. On Broadway Joe played Father in Ragtime (also National Tour) and Magnus in Lestat. He played Andre in The San Francisco production of The Phantom of the Opera and performed in the L.A. production as well. Other credits include Inspector Hanke in the world premiere of The Visit at the Goodman, Ben in Follies at The Signature Theater in D.C., Rev. Shaw in Footloose. Cheryl McMahon (Mrs. Dilber/Mrs. Fezziwig) With NSMT:A Christmas Carol ‘89, ‘91-‘93, ‘95-‘05, Sweeney Todd, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Alice in Wonderland, The Student Prince. Elsewhere: Cheryl is the recipient of the 2004 & 2005 Independent Reviewers of New England Awards for best supporting actress in a musical for performances at Reagle Players, including The Music Man with WBZ’s Scott Wahle and Carousel with Shirley Jones. Most recently, she originated the role of Mother, in Monsters, The Musical by Ernie LiJoi and Gail Phaneuf at Boston’s Centastage. Other favorite roles include Letitia Primrose in On the Twentieth Century, Fraulein Schneider in CABARET, and Gorgeous in The Sisters Rosensweig. Cheryl has appeared at the Huntington Theatre, Speakeasy Stage Company, Charles Playhouse, New Century Theatre, Wheelock Family Theatre, Stoneham Theatre, and Boston's Lyric Stage, most enjoyably in Beyond Belief, by Jack Neary. Luke Rawlings (Pearlie, Dance Captain) With NSMT: Mame, Miss Saigon. Elsewhere: Luke is a former competitive gymnast and high school math teacher who moved to New York City in 1998 to pursue a dream that keeps coming true. Nicky Venditti (Pearlie) With NSMT: Debut. Elsewhere: Nicky is very happy to get into the Christmas Spirit while being part of A Christmas Carol here at NSMT. Briga Heelan (Belle, Meg, Ensemble,) With NSMT: Youth Performance Academy: Once on this Island, Godspell Junior, Pop! The Musical, Ragtime: School Edition. Elsewhere: A graduate of the Walnut Hill School, Briga will be heading to the University of Southern California in January, having transferred from Cincinnati College – Conservatory of Music. While there she performed in the PBS Special “Cincinnati Pops: Take Me To The River” and the award-winning Fringe Festival piece Unnatural Disaster. Elsewhere: Landon recently portrayed Young H.G. Wells in “The Prophets of Science Fiction” on Discovery’s Science Channel. Besides acting, Landon enjoys school, where he is a 5th grader at Memorial School in Manchester, MA. CREATIVE TEAM   

Jon Kimbell(Director, Adaptor, NSMT Artistic Director / Executive Producer) Since 1983, Mr. Kimbell, in partnership with NSMT’s dedicated Board of Trustees and superior staff, has created one of the finest musical theater companies in the country. Recognized for his commitment to musical theater, Mr. Kimbell has received the New England Theatre Conference Award for Outstanding Achievement in The American Theatre, Salem State College’s Lifetime Achievement Award, and the 38th Annual Moss Hart Award for NSMT’s adaptation of A Christmas Carol. In 2006, Mr. Kimbell accepted the Kenneth A MacDonald Award for Theatre Excellence presented by the Independent Reviewers of New England, and he was honored by the Town of Danvers Committee for Diversity with the Drum Major of Justice Award for his leadership in promoting tolerance. Mr. Kimbell has also been the recipient of the 1st Annual Kay Bourne Bay State Banner Award for employing artists of color both onstage and off. NSMT also received the Actors’ Equity Association’s Rosetta LeNoire Award in 2003 for the theater’s outstanding commitment to non-traditional casting. Mr. Kimbell is responsible for the artistic direction of NSMT and the commissioning and development of new musical theater works with Associate Producer John La Rock. He has directed and produced many critically acclaimed musicals, Shakespeare, and the premieres of 30 new musicals. Active in the theater community, Mr. Kimbell currently serves on the Boards of the Council of Stock Theatres, Bow Street Trust, and the National Music Theatre Network concentrating on the New York Music Theatre Festival. He has served as an evaluator and panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts, the New Hampshire Commission on the Arts, the Massachusetts Cultural Council, and the Ohio Arts Council. 

 
   

Kathleen Powers (Co-Director) With NSMT: The Taming of the Shrew. Elsewhere: Ms. Powers recently directed Fräulein Else off-Broadway. Recent projects include Measure for Measure at the Kansas City Rep., Private Lives at the Irish Classical Theatre in Buffalo, NY, and Execution of Justice at the Pioneer Theatre in Salt Lake City. In 2003, she directed the Royal National Theatre's tour of Charlotte Jones' Humble Boy featuring Hayley Mills; and The Taming of the Shrew at the North Shore Music Theatre. She has directed extensively off-off-Broadway and in the American regional theatre. Ms. Powers has been a Drama League Directing Fellow and a Fulbright Scholar in Shakespeare; she is a guest director at the Juilliard School. She has earned a Master's Degree at the Shakespeare Institute in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. Later this season, Ms. Powers will direct Twelfth Night at Richmond Shakespeare Festival and The Winter’s Tale at the American Shakespeare Center.

Kathy Meyer (Choreographer) With NSMT: A Christmas Carol ‘96, ‘98 – ’05, Thoroughly Modern Millie, West Side Story, Cats, Mame, Chicago, Footloose, Carousel, Sweet Charity, Grease, Victor/Victoria, Kismet, West Side Story ‘95, 42nd Street. Elsewhere: Kathy most recently was back on stage touring with Beauty and the Beast, but she feels most at home here at NSMT. She was the associate/assistant choreographer on such shows as Thoroughly Modern Millie, West Side Story, 42nd Street and Footloose to name a few. After A Christmas Carol she will be choreographing Grease at Westchester Broadway Theater. As a performer Kathy’s favorite roles include Anybodys in West Side Story, Louise in Carousel and of course a Pearlie in A Christmas Carol. “Thank you to Jon and John for their support and continued faith in my talents. Howard C. Jones (Scenic Designer) with NSMT: Hairspray, Singin’ in the Rain ‘05, ‘92, Fame, Swing!, Cats, Chicago, Footloose, Carousel, Sweet Charity, Student Prince, Victor Victoria, Annie, Carnival, Crazy For You, Will Rogers Follies, Phantom, Showboat, South Pacific, Brigadoon, City of Angels, Guys and Dolls, Nunsense 2, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Camelot ‘91 and the annual production of A Christmas Carol. Elsewhere: Mr. Jones is pleases to be back for his 15th production of A Christmas Carol at NSMT. He has been a member of the faculty of the N.C. School of Arts for the past nine years. Before that, he was the founder and owner of Cobalt Studios, an apprentice painting studio in upstate New York. Other credits include: Goodspeed Musicals, Starlight Theatre, Missouri Repertory Theatre, CLO in Pittsburgh, Merrimack Repertory Theatre, Weston Playhouse, and the American Heartland Theatre. Mr. Jones was proud to be included in the World Stage Design Expo 2005. He received the Elliot Norton Award for Outstanding Designer in June 2000 and has been awarded Best Design by KC Drama Desk several times. “Thanks to Mom and Dad and love to Jerry.”

 
   

Joanna E. Murphy (Costume Designer) With NSMT: Cinderella ’06, A Christmas Carol ‘04 – ‘05, Fame, Damn Yankees (Assistant Costume Designer). Elsewhere: In Fall 2004, Joanna designed The Fabulous Invalid, starring Alice Ripley, at Emerson’s Majestic Theatre, Boston. The National Constitution Center in Philadelphia shows an exhibit of twelve soldiers of different branches of the military and of periods from the Revolutionary War to the present for which Joanna designed their looks. Other shows include: Five Women Wearing the Same Dress, Wendy Kesselman’s A Tale of Two Cities, and Voices on the Wind. Joanna has also designed numerous film and video projects in both Los Angeles and Boston. Joanna holds a BFA from Emerson College in Costume Design, and is a member of United Scenic Artists.

John A. Stone (Sound Designer) with NSMT: Jesus Christ Superstar, Cinderella ‘06, Singin’ in the Rain, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Damn Yankees, Co-designed A Midsummer Night’s Dream (1996), designed A Grand Night for Singing and the 1997-2005 Shakespeare productions and musical seasons. Elsewhere: John received his bachelor’s degree in physics and music at St. Lawrence University. He came to NSMT as an intern in 1995 and is now the sound supervisor and resident designer. John has also designed Bed and Sofa, The Fever, and Mere Mortals for the Nora Theatre Company in Cambridge. He now owns and runs Addison Audio, an equipment rental and design business intended to provide services to many area schools and organizations. He would like to thank his wife Nancy and step-daughter Dalya for their love and support.

Robert L. Rucinski (Assistant Musical Director, Rehearsal Accompanist) With NSMT: Cinderella ’06, ‘05, Singin’ in the Rain, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Damn Yankees, Camelot, Fame, Christmas Carol '04 & ‘05. Elsewhere: Robert is thrilled to continue working with NSMT this season. He was the music director for Worcester Foothills' production of Miss Saigon and for several shows including A Chorus Line (Laurie Gamache, dir.) at Reagle Players (Waltham, MA). Other music directing experiences include a summer at the Arundel Barn Playhouse in Maine, and several productions, including Jekyll & Hyde, and Les Misérables SE, with Booth Productions (Worcester, MA). He conducted the MIT Concert Band for several years, and has taught at The Bromfield School (Harvard, MA) and the Walnut Hill School (Natick, MA). A native of Jersey City, NJ, now currently living in Arlington, MA, Robert is a freelance musician working out of Boston and New York City.
