Sarah Knapp (Ghost of Christmas Past, Mrs. Cratchit) With NSMT: Carousel. Elsewhere: On Broadway Sarah was seen in The Scarlet Pimpernel and Off-Broadway in Nunsense, The No Frills Revue, Godspell, The Gift of the Magi, among others. She toured Europe in Richard Foreman's Africanis Instructus and has performed in numerous regional theatres. She writes with her husband, Steven M. Alper. Their musicals include Chamberlain, which premiered at Maine State Music Theatre where Sarah originated the role of Fanny Chamberlain, The Library (in which Sarah played Miss Dewey), which won an NEA grant and premiered at Stamford Theatre Works, and the Off-Broadway musical, The Immigrant, which garnered two Drama Desk Nominations and has been produced across the United States and recorded on Ghostlight Records. He made his professional debut there as Kurt in The Sound of Music, and was a company member of Darc Swan Dance Company. Off-Broadway: [title of show] (Vineyard Theatre/Kevin McCollum), The Charity That Began At Home (Mint Theatre Co.). Regional favorites: Singin' In The Rain (Cosmo Brown), Little Shop of Horrors (Seymour), A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Hero), Gershwin's Lady Be Good (Dick Trevor) and Damn Yankees (Rocky). TV: Law & Order: Criminal Intent as Richard, grumpy home-owner who has a serial killer's scrapbook in his attic, and a small but glamorous recurring role on One Life To Live as drag queen Harvey DeWitt/Alma Children. Adam Ray Dyer (Pearlie, Dance Captain) With NSMT: Debut. Elsewhere: Adam's greatest successes can be attributed to wonderful people like his Mom, Dad, brother Andy, and sweatheart Jamie. His aunt Kymmy, Uncle Dean, as well as teachers like Peter Leschke, Michele Assaf, Bryan Post, Robert Atwood and Kazuko Hirabayashi. Those greatest successes have been graduating with a BFA from Alvin Ailey/Fordham University. Mark Shunkey (Pearlie) With NSMT: Debut. Elsewhere: Mark Shunkey has previously performed such roles as Chistery in Wicked and Tommy in The Music Man. Renée Brna (Meg, Belle) With NSMT: Les Misérables. Elsewhere: Renée is thrilled to join the cast of A Christmas Carol directly from playing the role of Cosette in NSMT's Les Misérables. Jon Kimbell (Director, Adaptor, NSMT Artistic Director / Executive Producer) Mr. Kimbell has received the Elliot Norton Award and the New England Theatre Conference Award for Outstanding Achievement in The American Theatre, Salem State College's Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Moss Hart Award for his musical adaptation of A Christmas Carol. In 2006, Mr. Kimbell accepted the Kenneth A MacDonald Award for Theatre Excellence presented by the Independent Reviewers of New England, and he was honored by the Town of Danvers with the 2007 Drum Major of Justice Award for his leadership in promoting tolerance. Mr. Kimbell has also been the recipient of the Bay State Banner Award for employing artists of color both onstage and off and received the Actors' Equity Association's Rosetta LeNoire Award in 2003 for the NSMT's outstanding commitment to non-traditional casting. He has been involved in the development of 60 new musicals and premieres. Active in the theater community, Mr. Kimbell currently serves on the Board of the National Music Theatre Network, concentrating on the New York Music Theatre Festival. He is president and treasurer of the Council of Stock Theaters, and has served as a panelist and evaluator for the National Endowment for the Arts, the New Hampshire Commission on the Arts, the Massachusetts Cultural Council, the Maine State Council on the Arts and Humanities, the Ohio Arts Council, and the Cultural Arts Council of Houston.

Brian Cimmet (Music Director, Orchestrations/Arrangements) With NSMT: A Christmas Carol ‘06, ‘05, Hairspray, Damn Yankees (orchestrations), The Full Monty, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Nine, West Side Story. Elsewhere: Broadway: The Drowsy Chaperone, Grease; Off-Broadway: I Love You Because (also cast album), Newsical; Regional: Senor Discretion Himself (arranger/conductor, world premiere at Arena Stage), Hairspray (Ogunquit Playhouse), eleven years with Maine State Music Theatre, and too many readings and concerts to even remember anymore. As a composer, he wrote music for Absolutely Anything (which premiered this past summer in Illinois) and Spirit of Reindeer, which opened just a few weeks ago at the University of Maine under the direction of Edward Reichert. John MacInnis (Choreographer) With NSMT: Beauty and the Beast. Elsewhere: John directed and choreographed The Olympic Medals Plaza at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, Utah. From 1998 - 2001, he also directed and choreographed The Radio City Christmas Spectacular, starring the Radio City Rockettes. Elsewhere: Howard has been a member of the faculty of the N.C. School of Arts for the past ten years. Before that, he was the founder and owner of Cobalt Studios, an apprentice painting studio in upstate New York. Nancy Leary (Costume Designer) With NSMT: A Christmas Carol 1993-2002, The Tempest, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, Show Boat, Sweeney Todd, Phantom, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Elsewhere: Nancy Leary has a theatrical career that spans two decades. Her recent design credits include Mozart's La Clemenza di Tito for Opera Boston, La Finta Gardiniera for Juilliard, Massenet's Werther and Samuel Barber's Vanessa for Chautauqua Opera. Additional Opera Boston credits include Lucrezia Borgia, La Vie Parisienne, The Consul, The Rise and Fall of The City of Mahagonny, The Pearl Fishers and Robert Ward's The Crucible which later traveled to Chautauqua and Mobile Opera. Nancy has also designed costumes for the Regional Premier of Permanent Collection which won an Elliot Norton, and Into the Woods which landed her an IRNE for Costume Design both produced by New Repertory Theater. Other design credits include Orlando Shakespeare Festival, Merrimack Repertory Theater, American Repertory Theater Institute, Chamber Repertory Theater and Boston Theater Works. Costumer credits include: Stratford Theater, Boston Ballet, Glimmerglass Opera, The Alliance, Huntington Theater Company and PBS and Affiliates. Currently Nancy is working on Handel's Sernele for Opera Boston as well as teaching Production and Design for the Theater Department at Boston University's School for the Arts.

John A. Stone (Sound Designer) With NSMT: Les Misérables, Forever Plaid, The Three Musketeers, High School Musical, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Crazy For You, The 1997-2006 Shakespeare productions and musical seasons, A Grand Night for Singing, Co-designed A Midsummer Night's Dream (1996). Elsewhere: John received his bachelor's degree in physics and music at St. Lawrence University. He came to NSMT as an intern in 1995 and is now the sound supervisor and resident designer. John has received IRNE Awards for his Sound Design for Pacific Overtures, Jesus Christ Superstar and Ain't Misbehavin'. John has also designed Bed and Sofa, The Fever, and Mere Mortals for the Nora Theatre Company in Cambridge. He now owns and runs Addison Audio, an equipment rental and design business intended to provide services to many area schools and organizations. He would like to thank his wife Nancy and step-daughter Dalya for their love and support.

Elsewhere: ‘Lish' is delighted to be returning for her third (gasp) season in Beverly, MA. Past theatrical journeys include the Off-Broadway runs of BUG and Orson's Shadow, the Asian tour of Cabaret as well as seasons at Playhouse on the Square (Memphis, TN), The Children's Theatre (Cincinnati), and The Barn Theatre (Augusta, MI). She received a degree in Recreation, Parks and Tourism Administration from Western Illinois University, which comes in handy while running through the backstage forest. Toby Schine (Assistant Director) With NSMT: Debut. Elsewhere: As NSMT's Assistant Director of Education, Toby has directed the acclaimed Summer Stages productions of The Rocky Horror Show, Sweeney Todd, and Seussical as well as main stage Youth Performance Academy productions of Charlotte's Web, Winnie the Pooh, Stuart Little, Seussical Jr., and Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse. Toby teaches acting classes and coaches privately at NSMT and Endicott College. This is his third year with NSMT. Toby is thrilled to join the team of the 2007 production of A Christmas Carol.

Robert L. Rucinski (Assistant Musical Director, Rehearsal Accompanist) With NSMT: Forever Plaid, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Crazy For You, Christmas Carol ‘04 - ‘06, Cinderella ‘06, ‘05, Singin' in the Rain, Ain't Misbehavin', Damn Yankees, Camelot, Fame. Elsewhere: Robert is excited to be returning for his fourth production of A Christmas Carol at NSMT. He recently finished music directing Waltham High School's production of City of Angels and was seen as the pianist for Boston Theatre Works' A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Last winter he was the music director for NSMT's YPS production of Stuart Little. He has Music Directed at several local theatres including Worcester Foothills, Reagle Players (Waltham, MA) and Arundel Barn Playhouse (Arundel, ME). He conducted the MIT Concert Band for several years, and has taught at The Bromfield School (Harvard, MA) and the Walnut Hill School (Natick, MA). Robert currently lives in Arlington, MA and is a freelance musician working out of Boston and New York City.

Among the many plays and musicals she has cast include co-productions with Coconut Grove Playhouse: The Chosen starring Theodore Bikel, Romeo and Bernadette and The Dinner Party, directed by John Rando. Recently, at Paper Mill Playhouse: Ragtime, The Baker's Wife, Carnival, The Drawer Boy starring John Mahoney and A Midsummer Night's Dream directed by Tina Landau.
