"It's a tour de force, at once revealing character through movement, moving the plot along, and taking our breath away ... it is a hearty, old-fashioned hootenanny of a show." - THE BOSTON GLOBE
SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS will have audiences laughing seven times over as they watch this rambunctious musical love story unfold. When she recited her marriage vows, Milly never realized she would find herself in the wilds of 1850’s Oregon, with six rowdy brothers-in-law as roommates. It doesn’t take long for her to whip this rough and tumble group of boys into shape, and soon, all the brothers can think about is finding wives of their own. Based on the MGM film, SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS will take to the NSMT stage from May 29 through June 17 as part of a co-production with Paper Mill Playhouse (Millburn, NJ) and Theatre Under the Stars (Houston, TX). This audience favorite is filled with daredevil dancing and features a rip-roaring score including “Wonderful, Wonderful Day,” “Bless Your Beautiful Hide” and “Sobbin’ Women.”
