BOX OFFICE ASSOCIATES

The Box Office is seeking to fill part-time hourly customer service positions. Hours vary depending on show schedule. Candidates must be available to work days, nights and weekends and must be flexible.

Duties:

  •  Receive and process ticket and group sales orders via phone, in-person and mail.
  •  Assist with miscellaneous box office projects as directed.
  •  Assist other departments if necessary

Requirements:

  •  Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast paced environment
  •  Ability to provide courteous and efficient customer service

Qualifications:

  •  Previous customer service experience required. Ticketing experience a plus. Must have basic knowledge working on computers.

USHER/TICKET TAKERS

Temporary Seasonal positions available.  Hours vary depending on show schedule. Candidates must be able to work days, nights and weekends. Shift range in length from 1hr to 4hrs long.

DUTIES
Greet patrons upon arrival at theatre. Check tickets. Seat Patrons. Answer questions about theatre-related topics. Monitor audience flow. Work with production team to provide a safe environment for Actors. Perform general duties as assigned. Cross train in other departments as needed.

REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, be reliable and punctual. Must abide by NSMT uniform. All employees are required to assist other departments when necessary and as directed by their supervisor. Employees are expected to respond to a wide range of customer service issues with sensitivity and care. Must be able to lift boxes of no more than 20 pounds

QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates should display good customer service skills, be friendly and have an interest in theatre.

BAR SERVICE/CONCESSIONS/GRILL STAFF

Temporary Seasonal positions available; Hours vary depending on show schedule. Candidates must be able to work days, nights and weekends.

DUTIES
Greet patrons upon arrival at theatre. Provide excellent customer service to Patrons. Taking Orders, mixing drinks, serving Beer and Wine. Working the outdoor grill preparing and serving food. Answer patron questions. Restock and clean work area. Perform general duties as assigned. Cross train in other departments as needed.

REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, be reliable and punctual. Must abide by NSMT uniform. All employees are required to assist other departments when necessary and as directed by their supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS
Great customer Service Skills. Experience in Bartending and or food service. Handling money and use of cash register.  Be able to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment. Must be able to lift boxes of no more than 20 pounds.

Part Time Seasonal positions available. Hours vary depending on show schedule. Candidates must be able to work days, nights and weekends.

DUTIES

  •  Greet customers upon arrival at Bistro.
  •  Provide excellent customer service.
  •  Taking Orders, Serving Food & Drinks.
  •  Stock service areas and clean.
  •  Perform general duties as assigned.
  •  Assist other employees as needed.

 REQUIREMENTS

  •  Must be able to work a flexible schedule, be reliable and punctual.
  •  Knowledge of Micros preferred but not required.

 QUALIFICATIONS

  •  Great customer Service Skills.

PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT JOBS

internships North Shore Music Theatre, a regional, in-the-round company located north of Boston, MA, produces 5 musicals and an annual production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL over a May-December season as well as concerts and family programming.

Technical Director - North Shore Music Theatre, a regional theatre in the round, a half hour north of Boston, seeks a motivated, experienced Technical Director to lead our Scene Shop.  Candidates should possess at least of 3 years experience and formal theatrical scenery construction training at a graduate level or equivalent professional experience. Excellent leadership, communication, budgeting, and time management skills are ideal for work in a fast paced, challenging & collaborative environment. Experience with arena rigging & stage mechanics including pneumatics, hydraulics, and winch rigging is a plus.  Responsibilities include advancing and executing scenery construction for 5 show musical theatre season, directing the timely completion, and installation of all scenic elements for NSMT productions, coordinating the smooth flow of information and scheduling between all technical departments. This is position is full-time, seasonal (April-January) with optional health benefits. Salary is commensurate with experience. 

Props Master - North Shore Music Theatre, a 1500-seat arena theatre ½ hour north of Boston, seeks an experienced Props Master to support the high production values required by in the round setting.  This position is full-time & salaried with compensation commensurate with experience.  In addition to 2+ years of professional experience as a Props Master, a successful candidate will have the following:

Administrative/Technical skills: Wood construction, painting, sewing, upholstery, crafts, script analysis & research, Computer skill/software (Windows, MS Office, Photoshop/Image editing) Metal construction, CAD is a plus

Leadership Skills: Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate in a team oriented environment. Must have strong leadership & interpersonal skills. Excellent written & verbal communication abilities in addition to solid time management and organizational habits.
