North Shore Music Theatre, a regional, in-the-round company located north of Boston, MA, produces 5 musicals and an annual production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL over a May-December season as well as concerts and family programming.


Sound Technician - North Shore Music Theatre, a 1500-seat arena theatre, ½ hour north of Boston, seeks an experienced audio technician to be part of our sound department.  This position is full-time, seasonal & hourly with compensation commensurate with experience. 
 
Successful candidate will have the following:
Experience: 1 or more years experience in production Knowledge of modern audio equipment and all components including analog & digital consoles, wireless RF, effects & signal processors; signal & power distribution and backline.
Skills: Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate in a team oriented environment.
Software knowledge including WINDOWS, MAC, MS OFFICE.
The position starts end of March and runs through early January.

Assistant Electrics Department Supervisor – North Shore Music Theatre, a 1500-seat arena theatre, ½ hour north of Boston, seeks an experienced theatrical electrician to be part of its electrics  department.  This position is full-time with compensation commensurate with experience.  This position requires occasional overtime and weekend availability.
 
Successful candidate will have the following:
Experience: 1 or more years experience in production. Knowledge of Eos Family Programming (ETC Ion), intelligent lighting systems, and wiring is required.  Experience with moving lights and design experience are both a plus.
Skills: Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate in a team oriented environment. Must be able to work independently, in a fast paced environment. Must be comfortable working at heights. Must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted. Valid Driver’s License required.
 
Software knowledge including Windows, Mac, Vectorworks, Lightwright, Eos Offline Editor, CAD, MS Office.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Programming the console for all musicals we produce.
- Operating the console for all performances
- Maintaining the show after opening night, this includes replacing lamps, restoring dropped focus, and minor repairs to practical props and scenery
- Assisting the Lighting Supervisor with the preparation and installation of all designs in the space.
- Supervising a crew of up to five people.
- Designing concerts, kids shows, and events that do not bring a Lighting Designer
 
Position starts the last week of February and runs until mid-January with the option to continue for the 2017 season.
 

Technical Director – North Shore Music Theatre, a regional theatre in the round, north of Boston, seeks a motivated, experienced Technical Director to lead our Scene Shop. Candidates should possess at least of 3 years experience and formal theatrical scenery construction training at a graduate level or equivalent professional experience. Excellent leadership, communication, budgeting, and time management skills are ideal for work in a fast paced, challenging & collaborative environment. Experience with arena rigging & stage mechanics including pneumatics, hydraulics, and winch rigging is a plus.  Responsibilities include advancing and executing scenery construction for 5 show musical theatre season, directing the timely completion, and installation of all scenic elements for NSMT productions, coordinating the smooth flow of information and scheduling between all technical departments. This position starts in March and runs to early January. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Props Master - North Shore Music Theatre, a regional theatre in the round, north of Boston, seeks a motivated, experienced Props Master to lead our Prop Shop. Candidates should possess at least of 3 years experience and formal theatrical prop fabrication training at a graduate level or equivalent professional experience. Excellent leadership, communication, budgeting, and time management skills are ideal for work in a fast paced, challenging & collaborative environment. Responsibilities include advancing and executing props construction and or procurement for 5 show musical theatre season and restoring props for our annual Christmas show. This position starts in March and runs to early January. Salary is commensurate with experience.
