North Shore Music Theatre is a family friendly theatre offering an artistic mix of programs for arts lovers of all ages. However, some shows are not recommended for all audiences. THE PRODUCERS is recommended for theatergoers 16* and over. When it comes to outrageous comedy, Mel Brooks is a self proclaimed equal opportunity offender. This musical is not recommended for audience members who are easily offended by bawdy comedy based on race, religion and sexuality. Contains strong language and adult humor.

CONTACT is recommended for theatergoers 16 and over. This award winning musical, told primarily through dance, tells three separate stories of adults longing to make physical and emotional contact with other adults to help change their lives. Contains strong language and adult themes.

BYE BYE BIRDIE is recommended for all audiences. This hit musical comedy is a loving look back at the 1950's featuring hip-swiveling rock idols, angst ridden teenagers and frazzled parents.

THE 25th ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE is recommended for theatergoers 13 and over.  A clever look at the pressure adults and life put on exceptional children.  A musical about youth seen from a grown-up perspective, the production includes subjects that might not be appropriate for children - for instance, the spontaneous onset of puberty. Contains adult humor.

SHOW BOAT is recommended for theatergoers 13* and over. This groundbreaking musical spans 40 years in the lives of three generations of show folk. Following theirs loves and heartbreaks, their ambitions and disappointments along the Mississippi River and in Chicago, deals with such themes as mixed marriages, gambling, infidelity, and illegitimacy.

42nd STREET is recommended for all audiences. A musical Cinderella story set in the 1930's; it tells the story of an innocent tap-dancing chorus girl who unexpectedly gets her chance to star in a Broadway show.

DISNEY HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2 is recommended for all audiences. A fun and fresh new stage version of the record breaking Disney Channel Original Movie.
