Carla Duren (Taylor McKessie) With NSMT: Debut. Elsewhere: Carla performed in the Broadway and Vegas productions of Hairspray as Inez and a Dynamite. Carla also played Snookie in Broadway's 110 in the Shade starring Audra McDonald. Her numerous pop tours include performing with Bette Midler as a Harlette, Pink, Talib Kweli, Deborah Cox, Tamia and as lead singer of the pop group SheMoves. Also a songwriter, Carla recently released her self-produced project "BlackFolkRockStar" available on iTunes and at carladuren.com.

Omar Lopez-Cepero (Zeke Baylor) With NSMT: Debut. Elsewhere: Omar is thrilled to be making his NSMT Debut! Last year, Omar was seen throughout the US and Canada playing the pivotal role of Che in the North American Tour of Evita. A graduate of the University of Miami Frost School of Music, this Atlanta native is happy to now call NYC home. Favorite Credits include: Evita (Che); Grease (Danny); West Side Story (Tony); Sweeney Todd (Anthony Hope); and numerous revues and concerts. Benjamin Mapp (Chad Danforth) With NSMT: Debut. Elsewhere: Benjamin is thrilled to be making his NSMT debut! He recently completed the world-premiere production of Disney's High School Musical 2 (Atlanta TOTS). Off- Broadway: Growing Up 70's. Regional: Oklahoma and White Christmas (Pittsburgh CLO).  Other credits include, Reefer Madness (Jesus), Ragtime, and Hair. He can also be seen in various commercials for Cartoon Network, MTV, Nikon, Skype and Off! He's originally from Louisville, Ky and a graduate of Point Park University with a BFA in Musical Theatre. Addi McDaniel (Gabriella Montez) With NSMT: High School Musical. Elsewhere: Addi couldn't be happier to be back in high school at NSMT! In between High School Musical 1 and 2, she understudied/performed the lead role of Laura Ingalls Wilder in the world premiere of Little House on the Prairie at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis. She also made her debut at Birdland in NYC singing alongside Lauren Kennedy, Jarrod Emick, and Tracie Thoms. Favorite credits include: Bat Boy, Parade, Urinetown, Six Degrees of Separation. David Nathan Perlow (Troy Bolton) With NSMT: High School Musical. Elsewhere: David Perlow was last seen at NSMT as troy in High School Musical, and couldn't be more excited for the opportunity to reprise the role. A graduate of NYU/Tisch, David was most recently seen in La Jolla Playhouse's workshop production of Most Wanted, directed by Michael Greif, which then moved to New York Theater Workshop. He would like to thank Barry Ivan for his extraordinary and ongoing support. This production is dedicated to David's entire family. Kate Rockwell (Sharpay Evans) With NSMT: High School Musical. Elsewhere: Kate is thrilled to be back at NSMT!  She just closed her first Broadway show, Legally Blonde, playing Margot and understudying Elle Woods.  She was seen in the Sex and the City movie as Young Samantha, and is often recognized from NBC's "Grease: You're the One that I Want". Other favorite roles include Christine in the Yeston/Kopit Phantom, Claudia in Tully (In No Particular Order), and Cathy in The Last 5 Years. Emily Walton (Martha Cox) With NSMT: The Music Man; Annie. Elsewhere: Emily Walton is very excited to be performing at North Shore again, after an 11-year hiatus!  At the age of 9, Emily appeared on this very stage in The Music Man; and then, at the ripe old age of 10, she was in Annie.  Surely audiences will (not) remember her.  NYC credits include: Saved (Tia) at Playwrights Horizons, and workshops of Ever After (Jacqueline) directed by Doug Hughes, Picnic at Hanging Rock (Sara) at Lincoln Center, Hurricane, directed by Scott Schwartz, and Saved.  Regional: The Sound of Music (Liesl) at Pittsburgh CLO.  Emily is an Ithaca College dropout (class of ‘09!).  Much love and gratitude to her family, her friends and her Drew.

Christopher Brian Williams (Ryan Evans) With NSMT: Debut. Jameson Cooper (Ensemble; u/s Troy) With NSMT: The Producers; Les Misérables Elsewhere: Jameson was Levi in Joseph, Huckleberry in Big River and Tommy in Tommy.  Jameson is excited to be back in Beverly after spending the summer as a Ranger in Central Park.  He is a native of the great Pacific Northwest and a graduate of the University of Michigan where he received his B.F.A in Musical Theatre and a minor in Environmental Studies.  He would like to thank his family for their constant support and the guys at Henderson-Hogan.

Kyle Leland (Valet, Ensemble) With NSMT: Debut. Elsewhere: Kyle Leland. Originally from Los Angeles, Kyle has worked under such choreographers as Debbie Allen, Lula Washington and Liz Imperio and appeared with various artists including Nelly Furtado and Mariah Carey. After moving to New York, he performed with Complexions Contemporary Ballet, and just recently returned from Mexico dancing in Bianca Marroquin's Solo Pido. Elsewhere: Kelly is currently in her Sophomore year at The Boston Conservatory and is thrilled to take part in her first production at North Shore.  Some of her previous regional credits include the Mistress in Evita (New London Barn Playhouse), Rosie/ensemble in Sweet Charity, Maude/ensemble in Funny Girl (West Virginia Public Theatre), Liesl in The Sound o f Music, Silly Girl in Beauty and the Beast (Pittsburgh Musical Theater).  Post graduation from Pittsburgh Musical Theater's pre-college program, she worked as a dance instructor and choreographer for the Rauh Conservatory. Michaela Della Russo (Teen Ensemble) With NSMT: 42nd Street. Elsewhere: Michaela is thrilled to join the cast of North Shore Music Theatre's Disney High School Musical 2. She is a sophomore at Bishop Fenwick High School in Peabody, MA and resides in Melrose with her mom, dad, and two dogs. She has been dancing since the age of two and spends almost every waking minute at her mom's dance studio. She has held various titles such as Teen Miss Starquest, Teen Miss Dance Ovations, Top Score Soloist for International Dance Challenge and Hall of Fame Dance just to name a few. David Simpatico (Book Writer) recently adapted Disney's High School Musical for the Disney national tour and international productions. Recent work includes The Screams Of Kitty Genovese, (music by Will Todd); the stage adaptation of Truman Capote's In Cold Blood; Disney's Alice In Wonderland; and the stage adaptation of Ernst Lubitsch's Trouble In Paradise. He is currently working with David Yazbek and director Franco Dragone on Circus Mcgurkus, a new big top show based on Dr Seuss. David's monologue Irene was published this year in Best Women's Monologues of the Millennium. His film work includes the musical Freefall (music by Jeff Blumenkrantz). With his own film company, HotPink Tux, David has written and directed Prom Queen and Wish Fulfillment, and is currently writing a full length horror film version of Hansel and Gretel. David graduated Northwestern University (‘83) with a BS in Theater. He lives in NYC with his husband and muse, Robert Strickstein.

   

 

   

Bryan Louiselle (Music Adaptor & Supervisor) In addition to adapting the music and lyrics for Disney's High School Musical On Stage and High School Musical 2 On Stage, Bryan wrote the music for Discover Theater, the documentary films Sacred Space, Saints and Strangers and Prisoners of Hope, Elaine May's Adult Entertainment off-Broadway, Simon Gray's The Late Middle Classes for The Williamstown Theatre Festival, and Red Memories for The New York Stage and Film Company; The Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular; and three song cycles- A Bestiary, My Night Forest and Quattro Sonetti. From 1984-2002, conductor, musical director, arranger-variously: Broadway, Radio City Music Hall, The Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, Super Bowl, Miss America Pageant, Silver Burdett Ginn and McGraw-Hill music education CDs, etc. 2002 - 2007, the resident music supervisor, adaptor and recordings producer for MTI/Disney KIDS, JR., and TYA musicals including Cinderella, 101 Dalmations, The Jungle Book, Aladdin, Sleeping Beauty, The Aristocats, Alice in Wonderland, Mulan, Seussical, and Thoroughly Modern Mille.

   

 

   

Peter Barsocchini(Writer) wrote the Emmy Award-winning smash-hit Disney Channel Original Movie "High School Musical" (he says, for his tween daughter Gabriella), as well as it's sequels, "High School Musical 2," the highest rated original cable telecast in history, and the worldwide box office feature film sensation, High School Musical 3: Senior Year. Barsocchini began his professional writing career while attending high school in the San Francisco Bay Area, writing more than 300 columns about popular music for the San Mateo Times, spending his weekends backstage at the legendary Fillmore West, covering artists such as Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, The Grateful Dead, the Kinks, and Elton John. Upon graduating from the University of California, Santa Cruz, with a degree in creative writing, Barsocchini was hired by the Merv Griffin Show as an interviewer. In 1979, Barsocchini was named producer, a position he held for seven years. He won an Emmy Award twice as producer, the youngest talk-show producer ever to receive the award. His first novel, Ghost, was published to laudatory reviews in the late 1980s with the screen rights being purchased by Paramount Pictures, beginning the transition to the film business. His action/thriller screenplay Drop Zone was produced by Paramount and starred Wesley Snipes. Currently his film projects include a musical about the fashion industry for Dream Works, a Christmas film for HBO which he is creating in collaboration with Mariah Carey, a romantic thriller feature film entitled Cuba and the Night for Hannibal Films, a new young adult novel, and of course, High School Musical 4 for the Walt Disney Company.

   

 

   

Barry Ivan (Director/Choreographer, NSMT Artistic Director & Executive Producer) With NSMT: Les Misérables, Disney's High School Musical, Hairspray, Damn Yankees, The Full Monty, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Nine, West Side Story ‘03, ‘95, Mame, Chicago, Dracula: A Chamber Musical, Footloose, Miss Saigon, Carousel, Sweet Charity, A Little Night Music, Grease, Victor/Victoria, 42nd Street, Kismet, La Cage aux Folles, Cabaret, Will Rogers Follies. Elsewhere: Mr. Ivan assumed the full-time Artistic Director and Executive Producer role at North Shore Music Theatre in February, 2008. A nationally recognized director and choreographer, Mr. Ivan's versatile career includes work in New York City theater, television and film, as well as creating and producing theatrical musical entertainment for Fortune 500 Companies.  His accomplishments range from directing and choreographing over 20 musicals at North Shore Music Theatre to being a guest director at Yale University; and his international credits include directing and choreographing West Side Story at the German State Opera.  A five-time Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) nominee for Best Director and Best Choreographer, Mr. Ivan's productions of The Full Monty and Hairspray at NSMT both received IRNE awards for Best Musical. Highlights from Mr. Ivan's extensive regional theater career include directing and choreographing Company starring Malcolm Gets and Michelle Pawk; Anything Goes starring Carolee Carmello; and several productions of Stephen Sondheim's A Little Night Music, including a recent production starring Dee Hoty and Tony Award winning actress Beth Leavel. Actively involved in the development of new works, Mr. Ivan staged Tony Award winning composer Maury Yeston's new musical, In the Beginning, and recently directed Tales of Tinsel Town for The Director's Company in New York City. Mr. Ivan has directed two television pilots, an independent film, and recently directed and choreographed Smokey Joe's Cafe at Pittsburgh CLO.

Brian is a graduate of the Steinhardt School at NYU with a Master's Degree in Collaborative Piano and from SUNY Fredonia with a Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance. He was the winner of the 2001 Concerto Competition and recipient of a Performer's Certificate.

   

 

   

Campbell Baird (Scenic Designer) With NSMT: The Producers, Crazy For You, Jesus Christ Superstar Elsewhere: Campbell is pleased to be back at NSMT.  Other credits include One Mo' Time for Williamstown and on Broadway, numerous productions of West Side Story here and abroad, and world premieres of Sonya (with Julie Harris) for the Phoenix Theatre and Gian-Carlo Menotti's The Singing Child for both Spoleto Festivals.  Recent credits include Carousel, Fiddler on the Roof, Pump Boys and Dinettes, and Kiss Me, Kate for the Muhlenberg Summer Music Theatre.  Current projects include a new Nutcracker for the Nashville Ballet and Tranced at the Merrimack Repertory Theatre in Lowell.  He is on the design faculty in graduate studies at NYU-TSOA Design for Stage and Film, and serves as an entrance exam judge for United Scenic Artists Local 829.

   

 

   
Wade Laboissonniere (Costume Designer) With NSMT: High School Musical. Elsewhere: Wade designed the stage adaptation of Disney's High School Musical with touring companies in the U.S., U.K., and Spain as well as a West End production. Additionally he designed the national touring production of Irving Berlin's White Christmas. Off-Broadway credits include Zanna, Don't!, Shakespeare's R&J, The Asphalt Kiss, War in Paramus, The Pagans, and Chekhov's Rifle. Regional work includes productions for The Kennedy Center, Baltimore's CenterStage, Goodspeed, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Ford's Theatre, Dallas Theater Center, Portland Center Stage, Yale Rep Theatre, and Berkshire Theatre Festival. Prior to designing, Mr. Laboissonniere performed on Broadway in Cats and On Your Toes, as well as the national tours of La Cage aux Folles, and 42nd Street. He is a graduate of the design program at Yale University School of Drama.    
     

David Neville (Lighting Designer) With NSMT: Les Misérables, Damn Yankees, The Full Monty, Fame, Kiss Me Kate, My Fair Lady. Elsewhere: He has designed over 200 productions for various regional theatres including the Ordway Music Theatre, Papermill Playhouse, 5th Avenue Theatre, Portland Center Stage, North Carolina Theatre, Theatre Under the Stars, Music Theatre West, Arkansas Rep, California Music Theatre and Santa Barbara Civic Light Opera.  David has designed National tours, Off-Broadway, Off-off Broadway and assisted on several Broadway productions.  David makes his home in Wichita, KS with his wife Robin and his kids, Ryan and Jocelyn, is on the faculty at Wichita State University.

   

 

   

John A. Stone (Sound Designer) With NSMT: 42nd Street, Show Boat, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Bye Bye Birdie, Contact, The Producers, The 1997-2007 Shakespeare productions and musical seasons, A Grand Night for Singing, Co-designed A Midsummer Night's Dream (1996). Elsewhere: John received his bachelor's degree in physics and music at St. Lawrence University.  He came to NSMT as an intern in 1995 and is now the sound supervisor and resident designer. John has received IRNE Awards for his Sound Design for Pacific Overtures, Jesus Christ Superstar and Ain't Misbehavin'. John has also designed Bed and Sofa, The Fever, and Mere Mortals for the Nora Theatre Company in Cambridge. He now owns and runs Addison Audio, an equipment rental and design business intended to provide services to many area schools and organizations.  He would like to thank his wife Nancy and step-daughter Dalya for their love and support.

Gerard has also created wigs for performers such as the B-52's, Ru Paul, Sandy Duncan, Laura Linney, Eartha Kitt, Toni Collette, Charles Busch, Jennifer Holliday, Varla Jean Merman, Lypsinka, The Lady Bunny, and Brini Maxwell. Gerard's wigs can be seen in the films Transamerica, Girls Will Be Girls, The Savages, The Ten, Bolden and currently in production Notorious. Gerard's work can be seen on the cover of the B-52's new album and the video of their new release single "Funplex."

   

 

   

Peggy Imbrie (Production Stage Manager) With NSMT: 42nd Street. Elsewhere: Peggy recently returned from The Muny in St. Louis where she stage managed My Fair Lady and My One And Only.  Peggy divides her time between the musical theater and opera worlds because she has never decided which she likes best. Highlights include: Dialogues of the Carmelites directed by Tazewell Thompson and the world premiere of The Visit with New York City Opera.  A Little Night Music televised on "Live from Lincoln Center" on PBS, ten years with Radio City's Christmas Spectacular, touring to the Edinburgh Festival with Opera Theater of St. Louis, 110 in the Shade starring the divine Karen Ziemba, working with Betty Comden and Adolph Green on Wonderful Town. After 42nd Street, Peggy will return to the New York City Opera for her 19th season.  In 2005, she toured with NYCO to Japan with Mark Adamo's Little Women. While in Tokyo, Peggy was proud to visit the "Imbrie House" on the Meiji Gakuin University campus. Her great-grandfather, Rev.William Imbrie, lived there for 21 years during his 39 years of missionary service in Japan.

   

 

   
Chris Saunders (Associate ChoreographerWith NSMT: High School Musical, Damn Yankees. Elsewhere: Chris Saunders was seen in NSMT's acclaimed production of Damn Yankees as well as last seasons record breaking hit Disney High School Musical. He recently choreographed the 10th Anniversary Tour of Footloose. Chris also recently served as the associate choreographer for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular and Smokey Joe's Cafe at Pittsburgh CLO. A veteran of regional theaters, he has appeared at Sacramento Music Circus, Theater Under the Stars, Marriott Lincolnshire Theater, Fulton Opera House, Pioneer Theater Company, Cape Playhouse, and the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera. Favorite roles include the Carnival Boy in Carousel, a principal dancer in Swing!, and Tommy in The Music Man. Chris has also performed/dance captained The Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Originally from Pittsburgh, Chris received his BA from Point Park University. He's thrilled to be assisting Barry Ivan, and to return to one of the paramount theaters in the county. Geoff Josselson (Casting) Recent credits include The Jazz Age (59E59, NYC), Glimpses of the Moon (Oak Room of the Algonquin Hotel), The Last Five Years (Denver Center), The Music Man (Kansas City Starlight), and Nickelodeon's The Backyardigans Live! National Tour. Geoff also casts the York Theatre Company's acclaimed Musicals in Mufti Series off-Broadway. With Calleri Casting: Angels, the Musical, the upcoming film, Dragon Ball, and the Ivory Joe Cole workshop, directed by Kenny Leon. Previously, Geoff worked on the casting of AltarBoyz (off-Broadway and National Tour), West Side Story (European Tour), Carmen (La Jolla Playhouse), Mimi Le Duck (off-Broadway) and Fanny Hill (off-Broadway). Graduate of NYU/Tisch School of the Arts.
