JOSEPH NIXON (Co-Writer) is the author (with Brian Mitchell) of the plays Those Magnificent Men (New Perspectives, 2010), Big Daddy vs. Giant Haystacks (The Foundry Group, 2011), Seven Studies in Salesmanship (The Foundry Group, 2013), and the musical The Opinion Makers (Mercury Theatre/Derby Theatre 2013.) He has written material for Joanna Neary, Jo Caulfield, Jerry Sadowitz, and Basil Brush. GUY MASTERSON (Director) is a multi-award-winning theatre producer, actor, writer and solo artiste, and has also directed 50+ theatre productions over a 40-year career all over the world, in the West End and on Broadway. He won an Olivier Award for his production of Morecambe in 2010. He has presented over 150 productions at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival over 30 consecutive years since 1994 including many of its most celebrated hits such as 12 Angry Men and The Odd Couple – both starring Bill Bailey. In 2019 he produced and directed ‘The Jaws Play’ – The Shark is Broken – in Edinburgh which then transferred to the West End (Olivier Award nominated for Best New Comedy), Toronto, and Broadway. Most recently, he co-directed the multi-award winning The Marvellous Elephant Man – The Musical in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney, and The Marilyn Conspiracy at Park Theatre London. His passion is to bring great new ideas to life and fresh talent to the stage. He is married to Brigitta and father to Indigo and Tallulah. DUNCAN HENDERSON (Scenic Design) is also an actor and writer. He has been involved, in various capacities, with The Shark is Broken since its original conception in 2019. REBECCA GLICK (Costume Coordinator & Additional Costume Design) is thrilled to be stepping back into her new role here at North Shore Music Theatre! A stitcher/dresser with NSMT for a few years, Rebecca has designed for many theatres and educational programs around Boston. Her recent designs include Laughs in Spanish (Speakeasy Stage Company), The Full Monty (Umbrella Stage Company), and Sweeney Todd (Moonbox Productions, Elliot Norton Nomination-Outstanding Costume Design). She is the recipient of the Thomas Derrah Emerging Artist Award for her Costume Design of POTUS. Rebecca's educational designs can be seen throughout the year on the stages of Framingham High School, Weston Drama Workshop, Greater Boston Stage Company, and NSMT. She is also the designer for Refine Dance Studio's annual production of The Nutty Suite. JEFF GREENBERG (Lighting Design) is thrilled to be making his NSMT debut. Originally from Peabody, Jeff is now a NYC based Lighting Designer where he works as a full time faculty member and resident lighting designer for the Queens College Dept. of Theatre & Dance. In addition to dozens of shows he’s designed at Queens College, his work has also been seen at the John W. Engman Theatre of Northport, Texas Shakespeare Festival, The Historic Ringling Theatre of Sarasota, Cape May Stage, Surflight Theatre, The Eldorado Hotel/Casino in Reno, NV, amongst other places. He has also collaborated with world renowned tap dancer, Savion Glover on several touring productions produced, directed by, and starring Savion. He also designed and toured internationally with the 1940’s big band musical revue In the Mood, designed a national tour of Titanic for Jersey Shore Entertainment, and toured as the Lighting Director for The American Indian Dance Theatre. He holds an MFA in Lighting Design from Brandeis University and a BFA in Technical Theatre from Ithaca College. He also received the Evening Standard ‘Best Design’ Award 2011 for Anna Christie and King Lear (Donmar). ALEX BERG (Additional Sound Design) is excited to return to North Shore Music Theatre! Alex is a freelance sound designer and mix engineer in the greater Boston area. BILL HANNEY (Owner/Producer) is honored and proud to have been responsible for the re-opening of the nationally renowned North Shore Music Theatre in 2010. Aside from his work operating North Shore Music Theatre, one of Bill's crowning achievements was the 2007 purchase and re-opening of Theatre By The Sea, a landmark 500 seat professional summer theatre and restaurant, which is entering its seventeenth successful year of operation in Matunuck, RI (theatrebythesea.com). Bill was a co-producer on the recent Broadway production of The Shark is Broken, and recently co-produced a New York City workshop of The SeaView Nursing Home for the Newly Deceased. Bill was an investor in the recent Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of Pippin, as well as the First National Tour. Bill is currently expanding his group of live theatres. He began his career in show business at age 19, leasing and developing movie theaters, including his first multiplex in Quincy, Massachusetts. Before long, he was booking rock shows (Jefferson Starship, Rush) and other types of live entertainment, which eventually led to the presenting and producing of Broadway productions. One such show was an appearance by the legendary mime artist, Marcel Marceau. As president of Broadway Productions, Bill presented national tours such as Annie, Amadeus, Dancin', Peter Pan, The Rocky Horror Show and Mark Twain starring Hal Holbrook, throughout New England including Worcester, Springfield, Portland, Maine and Boston. Throughout his career, Bill has stayed focused on his movie theatre chain having bought, built, owned, operated, and sold more than 30 cinemas. His company, Entertainment Cinemas, currently operates six movie complexes in three states. Bill is currently Chairman of the Board of the Theatre Owners of New England. Bill has been named to the North Shore Top 100 by the North Shore Chamber of Commerce. He received the Leslie S. Ray Hall of Fame Award (2015) and Businessperson of the Year Award (2012) from the Greater Beverly Chamber of Commerce, as well as Businessperson of the Year from the Salem Chamber of Commerce (2011). KEVIN P. HILL (Director & Choreographer, Producing Artistic Director) began his theatrical career as dancer and actor, having appeared in the National Touring companies of Hello, Dolly! with Carol Channing, Leslie Uggams and Michele Lee, Anything Goes and the International Touring Company of A Chorus Line. Kevin has directed and choreographed more than 200 productions across America, including Titanic The Musical, Disney’s Frozen, Sunset Boulevard, Jersey Boys (‘19 & ‘24), The Sound of Music, A Christmas Carol, Young Frankenstein, Mary Poppins, Sister Act, Mamma Mia!, Smokey Joe’s Cafe, Grease and others. He has had the privilege of working with such stars as Alice Ripley, Marin Mazzie, Jeannette Bayardelle, Joanne Worley, Kathleen Turner, Josh Groban, Jonathan Groff and Tony Award winner, Cady Huffman. In New York, he was the assistant to the director of On the Twentieth Century at the New Amsterdam Theatre and assistant to the choreographer on the revival of Guys and Dolls. Kevin has been nominated as Best Director/Choreographer for his work on Sunset Boulevard, Smokey Joe's Cafe, Rent, The Full Monty, Chicago, and Edwin Drood, and was awarded the NH Theatre Award for Best Choreography for West Side Story at the Papermill Theatre. Kevin has also been awarded Six Broadway World awards and two Motif awards for his productions of Mamma Mia!, Mary Poppins and Young Frankenstein. As a Professor of Dance, Kevin has been on faculty at Pennsylvania State University, Kansas State University and most recently The Boston Conservatory of Music. Kevin and his husband Matthew have created their own production company called, Chappell Hill Productions. Their first venture is co-producing the new Broadway musical Gun & Powder. Chappell Hill Productions is also the lead producer of a new medium of theatre called, Dance Night. Kevin is a proud member of SDC, AEA and a past member of Dance Masters of New England, Chapter 5. For a decade, he has held the role of Producing Artistic Director at North Shore Music Theatre and eleven years at Theatre By The Sea. DAVID ELLIOTT (Executive Producer) is an award-winning producer, general manager, and director. For over two decades, he served as Co-Director of Perry Street Theatricals, a producing and general management office based in New York City, where producing credits include: Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, (Tony & Drama Desk Awards), Lend Me a Tenor: The Musical (West End, Olivier nomination), Dames at Sea (Tony nom.), Hamletand Saint Joan (Bedlam, OBIE Award), An Oak Tree (OBIE), In The Continuum, and The Exonerated (Drama Desk, Outer Critics). As a general manager, David has overseen dozens of productions at venues including Stage 42, WP Theater, Theatre Row, The Duke, Culture Project, and The Stern Center. He served as Artistic Director for the 2022 season at The Cape Playhouse. MATTHEW CHAPPELL (Associate Producer & Casting Director) is in his 7th season as resident Casting Director and Associate Producer for Bill Hanney’s North Shore Music Theatre and resident Casting Director for Theatre By The Sea. He is a former talent agent, casting associate, and photographer for Heyman Talent Agency, specializing in TV/film, commercials, runway, print and voiceovers and, for many years, worked as Associate Producer for Encore International, casting and producing shows for theme parks, cruise ships, and corporate events. Prior to making the leap to Casting and Producing, Matthew enjoyed a 20+ year career as a professional Actor/Singer/Dancer.
