COVID-19 Public Health Update- SEASON CHANGE
APRIL 16, 2020 Dear NSMT Friends, We are sending our positive thoughts and prayers to you, our entire NSMT family. We hope that you and your families are healthy and staying home if possible. This crisis has touched the NSMT family personally and profoundly and we hope you will join us in expressing gratitude to all of the medical professionals, first responders, and essential workers who are getting us through this difficult time. We have been working behind the scenes to develop a plan which will hopefully allow us to reopen quickly once the national and local health officials confirm it is safe and responsible to do so. We remain cautiously optimistic that once it is safe, and with some creative planning and a lot of hard work, we will be able to bring you the full musical season that we have been working on for the past year and were set to open when this crisis unexpectedly struck the world. Erring on the side of caution and safety, we are now planning to start the 65th Anniversary Season with the scheduled productions of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (September 22 – October 4, 2020), KINKY BOOTS (October 27 – November 8, 2020), and the 30th Annual Production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL (December 4 – December 20, 2020). Following that, we are planning a winter schedule which will allow us to complete the 2020 season in early 2021. The following previously announced 2020 productions have been rescheduled:
Ticket buyers and Subscribers will be automatically sent new tickets for the corresponding rescheduled shows. If you need to exchange your tickets or request an account credit, you can do so now by E-mailing or calling the Box Office. Due to an extremely limited Box Office Staff currently working remotely, the best way to contact the Box Office is by email at bosales@nsmt.org. The Box Office can be reached by phone at (978) 232-7200 – if you do not reach a staff member on the phone, please leave a voice mail message which will be returned in the order it is received. There is no in person access to the Box Office at this time. Additionally, the following previously announced shows & education programs have been cancelled and refunds will be issued automatically, no action required.
The health and well-being of this entire community is our primary and shared focus. Like you, we are closely following the guidance of our health and government officials and anticipate updates to the status of both the stay-at-home and gathering restriction orders on a local and national level. As these restrictions change, so may our plans. We ask for your patience and understanding while we work on creating the best, most responsible plans for upcoming scheduled events at North Shore Music Theatre. Please know that should plans have to change for safety, we will be in communication with you once again. At this time, your support is needed more than ever. Please help us by continuing to purchase tickets and ticket packages for upcoming shows, holding onto your existing tickets, buying gift certificates for future purchases or taking a credit if needed. You can also help by spreading the word among your family and friends that NSMT will be back. And we will be with your support behind us! In the meantime, please stay safe, stay home if possible, and follow our social media channels to stay connected and entertained as we look forward to welcoming you back to the theatre soon to celebrate our 65th Anniversary Season full of magical musicals in-the-round. We are all in this together, and we thank you for your support through this difficult time. Thank you, Bill Hanney and the entire team at NSMT |
