July Intensive
Ages: For students entering grades 5 through 10
Program Dates: 3 weeks, July 6th - 24th, 9am - 3:30pm Performances: July 23rd at 6pm and 24th at 10am and 2pm Auditions for acceptance into the program: By appointment, February 6th - 8th Auditions for roles: On day 1 of the program Cost: $1,075 Students in our 3-week intensive will rehearse and perform High School Musical Jr. on the NSMT stage. As this is an intensive program, students will spend the majority of the day in rehearsal. When not in rehearsal, students will engage in workshops, games and activities pertaining to various aspects of the performing arts. |
August Intensive
Ages: For students entering grades 7 through 12
Program Dates: 2 weeks, August 10th - 21st, 9am - 3:30pm Performances: August 21st at 10am and 2pm Auditions for acceptance into the program: By appointment, February 6th - 8th Auditions for roles: TBA - late spring Cost: $750 Students in the 2-week intensive will rehearse and perform Cinderella: Youth Edition on the NSMT stage. All of NSMT's professional productions go from first rehearsal to opening night in 2 short weeks. This program is meant to mimic that rapid rehearsal process and is ideal for performers who may want to pursue the arts in college and beyond. |

At NSMT, we believe that a modern day actor should have a toolbox filled with true and steadfast techniques and methods used on the stage. Our conservatory style program concentrates on providing students the necessary tools to become a triple threat and well-rounded actor/actress. Students will hone their skills in acting, singing and dancing, while engaging with their peers, building on the areas critical to their development such as: critical thinking, collaboration, public speaking, time management and social development. We also believe that theatre should be accessible to any student who chooses to participate and encourage them to begin their artistic journey, regardless of their level of experience.
