At NSMT, we believe that a modern day actor should have a toolbox filled with true and steadfast techniques and methods used on the stage. Our conservatory style program concentrates on providing students the necessary tools to become a triple threat and well-rounded actor/actress. Students will hone their skills in acting, singing and dancing, while engaging with their peers, building on the areas critical to their development such as: critical thinking, collaboration, public speaking, time management and social development. We also believe that theatre should be accessible to any student who chooses to participate and encourage them to begin their artistic journey, regardless of their level of experience.
LLOYD WOODCOCK (Director of Education) is a Theatre Educator/Arts Administrator with over 14 years of experience building theater education programming and curriculums. He holds a Bachelors in Theatre Arts and a Masters in Educational Theatre and has worked with various theaters in the Boston area, most recently as the Director of Education at Wheelock Family Theatre. Prior to relocating, Lloyd lived in NYC where he taught for various theater organizations such as TADA! Youth Theatre, Wingspan Arts, The Forum Project and the Henry Street Settlement. Lloyd also served as the Theater Coordinator for the NYC Department of Education where he managed the Shubert/MTI Broadway Junior program.
