We are excited to bring back Frozen Jr. this summer! This show was originally scheduled to perform in spring 2020, but rehearsals were brought to a halt due to the pandemic. Given the amount of time that has passed, we will be starting the rehearsal process for this production from scratch and are welcoming new cast members!
The emphasis of this program will be on rehearsing Frozen Jr. which will have 2 performances on the NSMT mainstage. When not in rehearsals for the production, cast members will engage in workshops in various theatrical topics including technical theatre, improv, acting/scene study, and more.
All registrants will have a role in the show. Prior registrants will be required to audition again with the goal of keeping kids in the same roles, if possible; however, some changes will be necessary. Audition information will be sent out in late spring. Auditions will take place prior to the first rehearsal.

At NSMT, we believe that a modern day actor should have a toolbox filled with true and steadfast techniques and methods used on the stage. Our conservatory style program concentrates on providing students the necessary tools to become a triple threat and well-rounded actor/actress. Students will hone their skills in acting, singing and dancing, while engaging with their peers, building on the areas critical to their development such as: critical thinking, collaboration, public speaking, time management and social development. We also believe that theatre should be accessible to any student who chooses to participate and encourage them to begin their artistic journey, regardless of their level of experience.
