SEEKING YOUTH PERFORMERS FOR THE FOLLOWING ROLES: 

YOUNG GLORIA
Girl, Latinx, Approx 9-12 years old

Young Gloria portrays Gloria Estefan as a preteen. She is a Latinx girl from Havana, Cuba, who is fluent in Spanish. Young Gloria is innocent and shy. This smart, self-reliant girl takes on many caregiving roles in her family and often looks after her sister.
  • Seeking a confident young performer of any Latinx background. Fluency in Spanish is very helpful, but we are open to candidates who speak only some Spanish but can learn what the role requires. Acting experience/training is desired but not required.

YOUNG EMILIO/NAYIB
Boy, Latinx, Approx 9-12 years old

Young Emilio portrays Emilio Estefan as a preteen. This actor will also portray Nayib, the young son of Gloria and Emilio Estefan. Nayib is a straightforward, determined child. He has a strong personality and loves to watch his mother perform.
  • Seeking a confident young performer of any Latinx background, with some dance experience/training. Especially seeking candidates with Latin-style dance training, but we are open to those who can potentially learn the style as needed. 

NOTES
- A tentative youth actor rehearsal and performance schedule can be found HERE. Please review to ensure you are able to participate before submitting. If you have any conflicts with the dates listed, please indicate those. 
- Youth performers are paid hourly for all rehearsals and performances. 

AUDITION

  • Please tape the audition sides provided.
  • If possible, for Young Emilio/Nayib submissions, please include a video/clip that showcases dance ability.
  • Attach a photo, and if available, a resume. 
  • Email materials/links to [email protected] as soon as possible. 
  • We may be casting strictly via video or ask some candidates to attend an in-person callback if necessary.
