North Shore Music Theatre, a 1,500 seat theatre-in-the-round located north of Boston, MA. Each year, NSMT typically produces 5 musicals and an annual production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL over a May-December season as well as concerts, educations classes, and family programming.

Job Description:
The Facilities Supervisor works days, nights and weekends based on our show and event schedule. Hours are subject to change. Must be flexible with hours. As the Supervisor, you oversee the patron parking as well as the parking attendants.
The Facilities Supervisor oversees the property and maintenance before and during shows. Responsible for cleanliness of theatre, property, and minor maintenance throughout the performance. When the theatre is not in show mode, the Facilities Supervisor then would join the regular facilities team and help maintain the demands of the property. Position will be further discussed upon interview.

We are currently looking for part time/ full time employees to join the Facilities team. The season for this applicant consists of March Thru January 31st with the possibly of staying on for the winter as well. These hours would be between 9am and 5pm Monday thru Friday. Hours can change depending on day and demands of the day with an earlier start time. Must be able to lift 50lbs. This employee would work a minimum of 25 hrs. a week and no more than 40 hours depending on the week and demand of work. The Facilities team is responsible for maintaining the inside and outside grounds of the property. Painting, Landscaping, snow removal, event setup, janitorial work, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with PM to hire sound staff
- Oversee all budgets regarding sound
- Oversee preparation of plots, hookups and other documents
- Create cost estimates on all shows prior to execution
- Manage storage, maintenance, and inventory of all tools, equipment, and expendables
- Oversee and participate in the Load-In and Strike of Sound Equipment for Main Stage Productions, Education Productions, Concerts, and Events
- Work directly with creative and production staff to deliver sound designer’s vision
- Assist the Music Director, Orchestra, and Actor Musicians as needed
- Maintain all sound systems in the theater, backstage, rehearsal spaces, lobby, and courtyard
- Maintain video monitoring system for director cams, and safety camera shots
- Assist the A1 with the programing, playback, mixing, and operation of the sound system for all productions as needed.
- Assist the A2 to perform microphone maintenance, placement/tracking on all vocal artists, and orchestra reinforcement as needed
- Act as back-up and relief for the duties normally assigned to A1 and A2.
- Attend all technical rehearsals and production meetings
- Maintain clean and safe workspaces
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum 3-5 years experience with audio for live theater and live mixing. (experience with theater in the round is great)
- 2 or more year experience in a supervisory role
- Advanced skills and knowledge in/of all types of modern theatrical sound equipment including digital and analog consoles, wireless RF, effects & signal processors, keyboards, samplers, signal & power distribution and backline.
- Proven supervisory skills and leadership ability
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and budgets
- Experience in creating and monitoring budgets
- Ability to work in a team and maintain a positive attitude.
- Must have strong leadership & interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written & verbal communication abilities
- Strong time management and organizational habits

‘The Cher Show’: September 29th – October 16th
‘A Christmas Carol’: November 3rd –November 26th
Dates vary as needed for individual productions.
Responsibilities include: Theatrical fixture prep, load-in, hang and focus, and general projects as directed by the Electrics Lead for theatrical performances and special events for the 2025 Season.
Qualifications: Experience in technical theatre lighting or equal professional experience is required. Must have prior experience working in theater as an electrician. Must be able to work at heights of 25 feet on ladders, catwalks and genie lifts and able to lift up to 50 lbs. Ideal candidates should have a positive attitude and willingness to collaborate in a team-oriented environment. Must have strong interpersonal skills.
